Theatre by the Lake, Keswick
Theatre by the Lake is a year-round professional producing and presenting theatre which provides a service through the performing arts to communities of, and visitors to, Cumbria. The core programme is home-produced professional drama productions, including a six month Summer Season of six plays in repertoire, a major Christmas production and at least one other production in the Spring of each year. Whinlatter Forest Park
Visit Whinlatter Forest park for walking and cycling adventures. Two mountain biking trails, one 19km in length, provide thrills and spills. Trail maps are available from the visitor centre and also at the Cyclewise hire shop at the trailhead. Walking routes are also available with the Siskins Cafe well placed for refreshment to replenish your energy. The visitor centre is also home to the Osprey Exhibition during the summer season and features giant video screens displaying the ospreys’ nest along with information and informative talks from the wardens. Go Ape tree top adventure, Keswick
It’s not in the dictionary, but if it was, Go Ape would be described as a ‘tree top adventure’. A dollop of breathtaking scenery; a smattering of tree-top wires, crossings and wind-in-your-face zip wires; finished off with a liberal dose of people in search of their inner Tarzan.
